Quiet notes

Couldn't think of an appropriate subject line.

This deals with repeats and DS al Fine, etc.

Is there a way to enter notes such that they do not play until the second time through on a repeat?

Situation: last measure of a score is a DS al Fine. The last notes (in this case eighth notes) in that measure are tied to the first notes (in this case quarter notes) in the segno measure. How can I enter the quarter notes so that they do not play the first time.
