Bell Choir Composition

• Oct 10, 2011 - 12:24

I just downloaded version 1.1(love it!) and I'm working on a piece for my bell choir. Does anyone know how to create a key at the beginning to show which bells will be used in the arrangement?

Lorincor,

I am also hoping for increased support for handbells in future versions of MuseScore. In the meantime, I can suggest some samples of (at least how I got around the limitations) kludging handbell notations into MuseScore. Please see: http://musescore.com/user/13216/scores/32627 (for an example of the Handbell Performance section and leader staff).

Note that I am using graphics (.jpg) to mark Handbell-specific ornamentation such as RT, Shake, etc...

I also invite you to join my Handbell group at: http://musescore.com/groups/23586. Please post a comment there if I can help!

Good job! There are two files in the "Download" section on the plugin page. I guess only one is necessary. You could use the "code" tag in your description to put some emphasis on the file output. You could link to Plugins for people who will end up on the plugin page without knowing how to install, what a plugin is, etc...
Last thing, you could post an announcement on the plugin forum : http://musescore.org/en/forum/443

Laconic,

Thanks for the input. I deleted the redundant attachment. I added tags but I don't think I I
Did it correctly (as I don't see the effect).

The link to the plugin help is at: http://musescore.org/en/handbook/plugins.

I didn't post anything on the forum since this is a very specialized plugin (intended for the small audience of handbell arrangers) but I will.

Thanks!
