Add a pattern to the midi-in flow

I'd like to experiment with a remove-small rests feature. Not sure if the best place is in midi-in as that's where the problem has occurred in my case, or if I should try this in a more general location.

The case I have is Midi-in has produced lots (100s) of cases of a 1/128 rest followed by a dotted 1/64 note followed by a 1/32 rest. I'd like to search, find all of them, (or limited to selected set) and replace these with a 1/16 staccato note.

I think Shoogle and trig-ger have worked on similar issues before. Maybe you can make some suggestions?
