Blank PDFs

Wondering if anyone has come across this problem. I saved my extracted parts as pdfs so I could email them. But they are showing up on both my computer and the person who I'm sending them to as blank pdf files. As in all that either of us see is a small white square. Any thoughts? This has worked for me in the past and I have a feeling it's the actual files that are messed up.
