Sorry, this program is very frustrating. I found the answer elsewhere. It seems an unnecessary convenience to not see the crossbar on the f symbol. I am not a programmer. Thanks anyway. Now I don't know how to delete a post.
You can't delete a post and it's better to not edit a post once someone posted an answer. The question and the answer might need other people.
Your monitor has only a given number of pixel line, if we you zoom out MuseScore doesn't choose to not display some line, you would end up with a big black rectangle, and you will not be happy... Of course the crossbar will be printed if you print or export to PDF...

The line in the f is still there. Just zoom in. Your contribution to the code is welcome. MuseScore is free and open source.
