mscoreexe encountered problem
I run windows xp and downloaded musescore today but every time i click on the program to open it it says mscoreexe encounetered a problem and needs to shut down and then it shuts down i've uninstalled it and reinstalled all the older 0.9 and 1 versions but they all do the same as the 1.2 version. Its never opened or worked once my laptop works fine with all other programs so must be something to do with this program. Does anyone know what's happening? Thanks

Can you try to Revert to factory settings ?
Didn't work that but thanks. It's really annoying because i downloded it on my mates pc and it worked fine, it's just odd that only this program doesn't work on mine.,

It should work. If Revert to factory settings doesn't work. Can you try to delete this file
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\MusE\MuseScore.ini(replace username by your username) and start MuseScore?I've fixed it, basically i have a samson usb mic that has a dll file in with the program and musescore will not open if this dll file is on my computer so had to delete the samson mic driver software.

No it wasn't. I presume musescore has a lot of conflict issues with over programs.

Oh I must of just got unlucky then. That's life but at least I'm on now.
