Geiger Counter Noise In Playback

Ok, so yesterday, everything was working fine with Musescore2.1. Today, I open up Musescore and start a new score with the Marching Band template. I begin to write, but as I begin playback, the sound shortly cuts out and is replaced by a sound that can only be described as a Geiger Counter. If I close and reopen Musescore, it fixes for about 4 measures, then breaks again. The only thing I have installed that is not stock Musescore is GS v1.47. I've never had this problem before, help!
