PDF export, MAC vs PC

On a windows 7 64x machine, if I go file>save as>pdf the file that's created has musical notes using MuseScore's font (mscore20, mscore120) embeded. However, if I do the same on OSX 10.8, the file created has vector outlines, not editable fonts.

Is this intentional? It would be useful for me to be able to embed fonts on the OSX side as well.

Which version of MuseScore are you using? In any case, it's not intentional. MuseScore uses Qt to handle the score drawing and printing. So it's likely a bug or a missing feature in Qt.
