Crash corrupted file-- Please help!

• Aug 19, 2013 - 22:51

I've been working on a very big project for hours today, and I've been saving regularly to avoid losing any work. But as I was clicking save, musescore crashed (it was a C++ error, so it said). No biggie, it used to happen all the time. So I went back to re-open it and an error message appeared-- it said there was an error reading the file because it was a bad file! I panicked and rebooted my computer, and the same thing came up! My other files are working, but not my big project. Being the first day, I didn't back it up. Could I please get help for this, I don't want to have to start all over!

Okay, here it is, along with the automatically created backup file. What worries me is that it's suddenly so small-- originally it was a huge file, with images inside as well as 1000+ measures (though most were empty). I was putting it together for my own uses and to help someone out with a production (so don't worry, I won't publicly post it on the site, I wouldn't infringe copyright like that :). Note that it wouldn't be an issue for me to start this over, so if it's beyond repair or if it would take a while to fix don't worry about it. It would be no problem for me to start again. Thanks!
