Doesn't transpose all chord names correctly

• Sep 18, 2013 - 17:37

In attached score when I try to transpose the whole score up a major 2nd some chords change correctly and some do not. I am using the musejazz font with jazzchords.xml chord description file. I have entered all chords with ctrl-K to enter basic chord name and then modified them with shift-K to specify exact chord. Whether I check transpose by key (G major) or by interval (major 2nd) some chords move up a major second but most move up a major third. This also happens when I try to transpose individual measures. Using a diminished or minor 2nd option in the dialog box on individual measures will produce the desired result of major 2nd on those chords that do not transpose correctly the other way. I need all these chords to transpose correctly when sharing mscz files with others. I run Windows XP. Please advise.

Just discovered that if I close the score and then reopen it works correctly so that works acceptably for me although the program tends to crash when you close the score. Still works as long as you save the score before you close it and then retrieve it when you restart program. Simply saving a score does not solve the problem. It must be closed. This is in ver 1.3, revision 5702. Regarding the file I attached, the problem will probably not show up with it since you opened it up from a previously saved file. To see the problem you will probably have to create a new score with chord names and perform the transpose on it.
