Rotating 8va Line

• Sep 26, 2013 - 06:38

Is there any way to, after extending the range for an 8va, make it follow the direction of the notes, and have one end higher? A song I'm editing has an 8va starting on a D in the treble clef, lasting 5 1/2 bars, ending on raising the F an octave off the top of the treble clef. If I raise the entire line, then I cross through some of the bass notes on the upper system, but if I don't, then the end crosses through the higher notes.

I doubt that is possible. I have dealt with this sort of problem by carefully moving bars to another line and then being able to have 2 different 8va lines. I don't knoe if this will help you but, .... maybe?
