Herb Alpert : Spanish Flea

So I am just getting back in to music after ... 15 years. And at that time the only decent software was Finale. I was happy to see a free piece of software as I'm a developer myself and I love open source.

I transcribed the music mostly, I found a few pieces of music samples on line that gave me a really good start, but I had to listen to a few recordings to put the other pieces in. I arranged this for a brass quintet.

I would appreciate someone figuring out how to put in repeats and D.S. marks in this to make it more compact.

The pattern is
Measures | Section
4 | polka/intro
8 | Main theme
8 | Main theme with harmony
4 | polka
9 | Bridge
8 | Main theme
4 | polka
9 | Bridge
8 | Main theme
4 | Polka
9 | Bridge with alternate voicing
8 | Main theme with harmony
4 | outro

It's been a long time since I've written or even read music so I'm a it rusty .. and I thought maybe have a "2nd time only" note for the parts that are the harmony or alternate parts.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Alan

Not a bad arrangement at all! I'm a huge Tijuana Brass fan, so I enjoyed taking a look at this. One minor problem - your G major chords had Bbs in them (should be B naturals), your C major chords had Ebs in them (should be E naturals), and your B major chords had F naturals in the trombone parts (instead of F#s).

I'll look later when I get a chance and see if I can shorten it down with some repeats, etc. I am attaching the score with the corrected notes in it. Thanks for sharing this!
