notes with no pitch
Hi
I'm writing a score/parts for a jazz ensemble and need to put some 'hits/accents' without writing the notes - meaning the chord symbol is above the stave, but I need to specify using a note stem, where the chord goes exactly. I'm sure I've used a note without pitch somewhere before for this ..... but where?
Any suggestions welcome (and thanks).

Yes, thanks. I suddenly remembered where it was.
And of course if you need specific lengths you just write out your rhythms on one pitch (any), and then just use the 'toggle' option using:
edit>tools>toggle rhythmic slash notation
