Disappearing note stems

• Dec 23, 2013 - 13:53

I have recently compiled a music score using Musescore 1.3, through Widows XP and 7, and upon reopening find that a portion of it has all of the notes have lost their stems. I selected the offending section, did a 'properties' on them and selected the stems off box and then un-ticked it which had the effect of restoring the stems too about half of the notes. Problem is though, that upon reopening the file the stems had again gone missing. Has anybody any explanation for this problem and also how to correct it.
Thank you

Some sort of corruption to the file to do with the beaming rather than the stems themselves but I don't know why specifically it has happened.

Closer inspection shows something very odd about measure 31 - it appears to have two barlines stuck together and you can't select just that measure. I added a measure after it, entered the notes for measure 31 into the new measure then deleted measure 31. When I tried to select it to delete it the whole rest of the piece was selected as if it were all part of the same measure but I was able to use the back-arrow key to de-select all but measure 31.

Once I'd done that I tidied up a few beams and had a go at sorting out your staccato marks which seemed a bit odd. I'm afraid I don't understand what you are trying to indicate by the brackets and numbers, though, but I just left them in.
