Why Two Windows At Start-up?
I don't understand why there are two windows at start-up. Without sliding one out of the way, can I have just one work window open? I'm a novice user with very basic applications, so the simpler the better as I learn the ropes. Thanks.

Go to "Display" and remove the check mark for displaying 2 files at once.
Try this:
Under menu item 'Display', uncheck 'Documents Side by Side' or 'Documents Stacked'.
If you are referring to the Navigator - i.e. the score 'map' - you can toggle F12 to turn it on/off.

In many forums simple questions are often ridiculed. I've asked several here already, and everyone has been patient and helpful; I really appreciate it. I've been working through the assignments in the Links section. and have been learning some neat tricks. Again, my thanks.
