removing portato and other articulation marks from notes

HI, and apologies if this has been asked and answered. I have found how to toggle staccato and other frequently used articulation marks using shift+a letter, but I have a passage that I marked portato and now cannot get rid of the marking! is there a way to extend the function of toggling to the portato or other markings, or more generally, is there a way to strip all the articulation markings from a note or group of notes?
