how to write one voice on two staffs?

• Mar 12, 2014 - 22:17

Hi, I have a question: how can I write a passage for the piano on both the bass and treble clefs, like one continuous wave (like in Chopin's etude # 1: for example, http://musescore.com/user/108509/scores/121307 ).

For now, when I an trying to go from base to treble, the notation starts from the beginning of the bar, instead of continuing from the appropriate position - say, the 5th sixteenth, like in the example above...

Thanks for help!

Enter the one voice on a single staff, then select a note you wish to move to the other staff and use 'Ctrl'+'Shift'+up/down arrow depending on from/to whatever staff. Repeat for other notes.
See attachment and click on the red note in measure 3, then 'Ctrl'+'Shift'+down arrow will drop it into the bass clef.

Also, if ever you need to move a beam up/down, double click on it and move the 'handles'.

Regards.
