Versioning / Comparison

• Oct 18, 2017 - 20:26

Hi all.

It would be great to have a way to compare two scores (usually two versions of the same score) to see what the changes are - graphically of course.
As software developers, I'm sure you use a version control system (Subversion, Git etc.) for your code & also have the tools to see the full history of which bits of code changed at each commit. Something similar for MuseScore would be great, particularly for collaborative work.
Obviously you can just keep saving the same score with a different version number or date on the end, but using standard tools like Subversion and Git would do the job better. I expect the difficult bit is the comparison between versions & making that look good.

Cheers
Don.
