Pizzicato

Is it possible with the excellent MuseScore program, to produce the sound of a plucked violin, viola, cello and double bass? I have found two pizzicato symbols, both of which when attached to notes do not seem to alter the sound in any way. Is there a way of activating pizzicato for these string instruments?
