Musecore 3.0 doesn’t run in Windows 10 1809

I recently upgraded to Muscore 3.0 but the app will show the launch screen then nothing happens. I assume it has crashed since task manager shows Windows Trouble shooter running. I tried running the program in comparability mode but it has achieved nothing. I am using Windows 10 Pro 1809 OS build 17763.195.
Anyone else having this problem?
