Musescore 3: JACK Transport Sync xjadeo crash

I'm on Linux Mint 19.1. I've successfully synced Musescore and xjadeo via JACK. Starting playback from Musescore triggers playback both of Musescore and the video. However if I start playback from xjadeo Musescore instantly crashes.
