Converting midi files, which are useful to practice with, to standard notation for performance by musicians playing live

• Mar 17, 2019 - 16:33

I like to practice using midi files for playback for all the other parts, and I usually play my part from sheet music I have purchased or downloaded from imslp and other sites. That is because midi format uses non-standard notation for trills and ornaments so it is not easily playable by live musicians.

I would like to know how to convert midi notation into standard sheet music notation so that I and other instrumentalists can play our parts live using the converted notation. Is there a way to convert midi notated files into standard notation that can be printed out for live performance of all parts?

To clarify, I can open a .mid file in MuseScore 3 and see parts, but ornaments are written out rather than rendered in standard notation. See attached file, for example. Is there anyway to convert written out trills for example, to trill notation -- other than doing that manually trill by trill?
