entering sheet music that is NOT in concert key
Brand new to Musescore. How do I enter music directly from "The B flat Real Book", needless to say the sheet music is NOT in concert pitch. I'm looking to then play along with what I've entered, the problem is that the sound I'm hearing from my sax is one step higher than what Musescore plays. Must music be entered into Musescore in concert key?

I think that I figured it out. When starting a new score, I first select the instrument (tenor sax in my case) but then when I enter the key signature, I must enter the CONCERT signature, not the key that I'm reading. For instance, the song I'm entering is in the key of G on my tenor sax (i.e. one sharp), but when I enter the key I must set it to the concert key of F (one flat), i.e. one full step down. Then when it shows up on my chart, it'll have one sharp. All is well, now I can play along with what I've entered into Musescore.

it's because the key of G on tenor is actually the key of F for concert so it will give you what you're looking for you just need to know concert keys
