Marching band with percussion playback distortion

So for the last few times I've made my marching arrangements with MuseScore 3.0, when I attempt to playback the whole piece with the marching accompianment, the sounds begin distorting and the whole tempo begins to lag. Even percussion by itself lags. I am stumped.

The same thing has been happening to me too today. It has never done that before and I don't know why it is happening. I write a lot of drumline music and I have never experienced that before. I had to change the music multiple times because I thought the music was too fast, but it still didn't work. I am curious to know this as well.

I think it might be a compatibility issue - Jimmy Buffett is incompatible with marching band. :-)

In all seriousness, it is likely a resource issue, specifically memory. How much RAM do you have?

Which exact version of Musescore are you on? Which OS?
