MuseScore 3.1 release crashing randomly on playback (Ubuntu 18.04)

MuseScore 3.1 official release appimage crashing relatively often. I can't describe a precise way to reproduce it, but it seems to be worse (more often) for larger scores. It happens on playback. Just before crashing, the audio freezes in a loop repeating the last miliseconds and stops on crashing. I am using Jack Server. Running from terminal, it gives:
