MuseScore Update for older laptop?

I keep trying to download the updates that say "for Mac10.10 & Mac 10.11
It should have downed, but i went ahead and got the last update of iOs that this powerbook will accept: Mac 10:11.6
Theoretically these updates say they will work,but I keep getting error notices that i need Mac10.12 or above.
is there anything I can use so I can get back to work?

Cant afford a new computer at present time.
