Can I sustain a Note by keeping MiDi Keybord Pressed down?
Hello,
I have a cute 1/4 range Oxygen8 V2 Keyboard. I have this connected to my PC via a Presonus AudioBox using MiDi cabling.
My success is that I can Press any note and the corresponding note appears within the MuseScore Score using the Step Time (Default), no problem.
However, using the Real Time (Automatic) ans sustaining a Note I get a group of notes that are totallly perplexing to me.
I have some understanding of Music Notation, but please tell me where I'm going wrong? Or even if I can use sustainable Notes on my MiDi to be appear on the MuseScore using RealTime? The User Manual suggests I can, but I'm not so sure.
As I say, please tell me where I'm going wrong.
TIA,
G

That 2nd screenshot seems to hint that your keyboard isn't sending note off messages; hence MuseScore thinks the keys are never lifted.

Jeetee, thank you for your reply.
Yes it does apppear that way, doesn't it. However I am lifting my finger off of the Keyboard. I get the same result using the MuseScore internal KeyBoard too. This indicates that that the MiDi isn't at fault.
What would be the solution?

Many midi keyboards have the ability to trigger sustain on and off with a button since not everyone has a foot pedal for such. Maybe the keyboard is set to keep sustain on? Just a guess.
