Multi-measure Rests Help
I'm sorry if this is a FAQ, I just really need help.
So I'm working on a band piece right now, and I'm about to pull my hair out because I still can't figure out how to properly create multi-measure rests in a piece. I have looked all over the internet, but nothing is pointing me in the right direction. From what I know, pressing m on your keyboard turns multi-measure rests on, and it seems to be working, but the only measures affected by this are extra measures at the end of the piece where none of the instruments are playing. I'm clearly missing something here. I took a picture of what I specifically need help with. FYI, I know how to break multi-measure rests.
In the first screenshot linked, I'm trying to figure out how to add a multi-measure rest for each of those instruments with 8 bars of rest at the beginning of the piece.
The second screenshot linked shows what I mean by, "but the only measures affected by this are extra measures at the end of the piece where none of the instruments are playing." That's right, I have 184 extra measures...
If someone could give me a step to step guide on how to add multi-measure rests, that would be amazing. I'm on a Mac by the way.
