Problem with note input with MIDI connection to keyboard

Hi! I'm running into a problem where I can only input the first note while using real time (manual) note input with my keyboard. After the first note, rests no longer change to notes. I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong! Please let me know what I can do to fix this! Thank you so much!
