Inescapable Dialogue Box

This "Check for updates automatically" dialogue box now persistently appears on every opening of the program. To make matters worse, clicking either of the buttons yields no result and it won't go away. Luckily you can create a window behind it and take it out of focus, but it still remains. I'm obviously exaggerating the severity of this problem, it's honestly very minor just a tiny bit annoying.
