MIDI playback stops randomly

I'm using MuseScore 3.3.2 Build 8849 with the following MIDI setup:
MuseScore is connected via internal MIDI port (LoopBe) to the Play-engine of EastWest Hollywood Brass Silver Edition. If I start the MIDI playback from the beginning of the score it normally works fine, i.e. all instruments of Hollywood Brass will be played correctly. However, if I start somewhere in the middle of the score in most cases the playback will start and stop after one or two tones. In this case, no Note OFF will be sent to Play and thus I have to stop all voices manually in Play. This is very anoying during composing.
