With Musescore V4, it seems that grace notes "before" (appoggiatura or acciaccatura) are not taken into account when playing, while grace notes "after" are.
For example, I can't get the grace note to play in measure 5 of the tenor part.

The reason you are not hearing them is because the attack of the ... trombone (?) you have playing the "Tenor" part is such that they get lost in that attack. Try with a Piano and you'll definitely hear the grace notes play.

However, they play very quickly compared to the speed that the grace-notes-after in the previous measure and the other staff play. They also seem to be playing at the same time as those grace notes in the previous measure, which is another reason you don't hear them.

I don't know how to resolve/change this. I hope someone else will pitch in with advice?

Thanks for your answer. Ok, with the piano I can hear the grace notes in measure 5. To me, they are played much too fast, but at the measure beginning and after the grace note in measure 4 of the other part. You can verify this by increasin the length of the latters.
Please also note that you will get a much similar result with other grace-note length. Oddly enough, the problem was reverse with Musescore V3 ; grace-notes-before were correctly played, but grace-notes-after were always played at the same (slow) speed, no matter their length.
