Need help to exactly export with information in midi file

• Nov 23, 2019 - 08:46

Hello, I have a problem that needs help.

I am working with a (required) process like this.

I composed midi on Fl studio. Export file. However, the file exported from Fl studio does not contain the information I need to make the sheet (in another software): is the Time Signature and Key Signature. So I exported this file again by MuseScore. However. I have a problem with "grace notes" (I don't know if I call it right or wrong, but you can see it in the picture 1). In Fl studio I composed some grace notes, but it seems that MuseScore has changed them (see it in the picture 2). Result, the file that Musescore export is not like what I was writing in FL Studio.

So I wanted to ask how to handle this situation, the "ultimate goal is to Musesocre export a file exactly like what I did in Fl studio".

Thank you for reading.

MIDI does not have a concept of "grace notes"; it is a piano-roll like encoding, that does not even convey whether a note is a G# or Ab (enharmonic equivalence). If you want those notes to be grace-notes, you must delete them and enter grace-notes. MIDI is a sequencer-driving notation, not a score notation.
