Baritone TC and BC from one staff on the score

• Feb 4, 2020 - 23:27

Hi, is there any way to get a single baritone (or euph) staff in the score to correspond with two different parts in the parts manager? I'm trying to keep the score neat but I also want to have both TC and BC options for one of the euph parts.

When I use the parts manager to create a new part tied to the score, it works fine. When I edit it, the score updates - as you'd expect. Unfortunately, when I set the TC part to actually have a treble clef, it adds a treble clef to the score and to the BC part. Strangely, changing the staff properties>instrument on the TC part does NOT update the score - only adding the clef or changing notes.

Yes, I am aware that the Baritone (Treble Clef) instrument is available, but I don't want to use two different staves for one part in my score.

For me, with for exemple a concert Band, with many instruments, when my "work" is finish, all my individual parts written, for exemple I often make 6 Tba's parts, in G key, in F key and for Bb tuba, and C tuba , and F tuba. When all is written, I work to the score for the director. For that, I delete all the parts, and I work for my score, with making all clarinets on 1 stave, idem trumpets etc...... and for eupho I do what I want , 1 stave , or 2 . When all is done I save under another name, and so I have the 2 works

I understand that this is possible; I was asking if there is a functionality in Musescore so that I DON'T have to make 2 versions of the score, and just export 1 staff into multiple parts with different formatting. It seems to be intended that I can, yet clef is marked as part of the music rather than the formatting and thus I cannot edit it without editing the score.

Not entirely sure on the procedures for this, but this issue might also fall under bug reports or feature requests. If someone more active on these forums knows where this belongs, let me know.
