trying to transpose
I located a score here for a student that I need raised one half step. When I attempt this I am sent to google play for a mobile version of the software. WHY IS THIS? if I wanted to use a tablet, I would be on a tablet! any suggestions?

But from your description; could it be you're trying to transpose a score on the musescore.com online score sharing platform and attempting to do that in the browser? That indeed won't work and forward you to their mobile player apps that do have that capability.
Download the score to be able to open it in the free notation software and transpose it there.
