Simple 'How to' questions

New user finding his way round the programme: pse. forgive ignorance . . . I can't see from the handbook how to (1) change the font/size of the number in the first- and second-time bars, or (2) change (reduce) the size of the actual notes on the staff. Can anyone advise, or point me towards the handbook instructions?

reduce the size of the actual notes on the staff Select the note range, via Inspector set to small?

See voltas in handbook.
This cannot be done without changing the size of the staves also. Go to Format>page>scaling.
