Creating a click-track?

Like many in lockdown, I'm trying to play along to a (headphones) click-track and record the result so that someone smarter than me can assemble the recordings to create an ensemble piece.
Can anyone produce a simple plug-in that adds two bars to the start of a score (respecting any anacrusis)?
With the metronome on this would suffice; but in an ideal world the plugin would create a (hidden?) percussion line of the metronome part such that an exported mp3 would carry the clicks, too.
Any help appreciated.
