MuseScore freezing upon launch

Hi everybody.

For the past day or so when I launch MS, it locks up for a few minutes before returning to normal. I've tried repairing, removing and reinstalling it, but the problem persists. I encountered a similar problem when trying to convert a MIDI file that had some funky properties I couldn't identify because a massive amount of ledger lines stretched the page in that MS would freeze for upwards of 2-3 mins every time I tried to do anything, be it click on a note or otherwise.

Now the same problem occurs when either no score of an untitled blank score is loaded on launch, but is fine otherwise. Once the freeze has ended, functionality returns to normal. Also I'm using the 3.4.2 if that's helpful to know.
