can't delete invisible elements

I have imported an mscz file and it has various pauses and + signs that are greyed and marked invisible on the inspector - see attached figure. I would like to delete them ... I can select the pause, select all similar elements, they are correctly highlighted, but nothing happens when I try to delete them. As for the + signs, I click on one but it's not even highlighted.
Is there another way to remove them?

sign means that measure is not "correct", it has too many times

Well, I selected a greyed measure-long pause near the beginning of the piece, its similar elements, and it did make it visible and all the others. And as for the + signs, I realise now that they indicate a measure that is longer than expected. So everything's fine!!
