Synthesizer and sound not working

so i was recently trying to add a new soundfont, since i was curious about what i could do with it
after having downloaded everything i put it into the correct folder but couldnt find the soundfont.
then i clicked add to see if it would appear the next time i opened musescore, and by accident i added the original one twice, so i deleted it thinking all would be fine, and since then both the sound and the synthesizer wont work meaning i can't create music.
and yes iv'e reverted back to factory settings multiple times, and i have gone to the I/O tab and restarted audio and midi devices like the forum said, but nothing is working and im frustrated at this point. please help me resolve this issue, im using the windows 10 version of muscore
