Split staff function for live MIDI input on 3.5
Having read Marc Sabatella comments and page 198 of the Manual, I was looking forward to using the split staff function to (imperfectly) separate RT and LT hand live MIDI input.
I am a adult Covid re-beginner (any of you out there??). I watch a You Tube piano tutorial on a song and like to capture in on sheet music. Then I go back and note the cords etc (helps me learn cords as I was taught classical/ sight reading as a child). PREVIOUSLY I had been starting w the grand staff and then doing one hand at a time.
This time I tried opening a Trebel clef only. Right clicking on first rest and selecting split staff. Once I have created both T and B Clefs then I selected C4 to split.... Didn't work. If I start in T Cleft then all notes stay there and visa versa.
Don't want to get into a debate about other software or how people wish it could be better. Even as intended it will "split" my time in half.
