why wont scores play anymore ?

As a very far from expert computer user i am just interested in looking at different versions of music scores.
This was going well until a couple of hours ago, then the scores just would not play. WHY? I have tried the "HELP" route and all i get is "There is a play/pause button" I know this. The problem is that it does not work. How can i fix it? Help!!
