Fedora 33 app image musescore 3.6 constantly says 'app not responding'

After less than a minute of using the app the dialogue box appears saying 'the app is not responding'. After a few seconds this dialogue closes itself. This process repeats around every 45 seconds. Even if I am not interacting with the app the dialogue appears repeatedly.
