Launchkey Midi keyboard not connecting to Musescore on Mac

Hi,
I know the launch key is working as I can use it in GarageBand and other applications, however when I try to connect it to use in Musescore it doesn't even register as existing.
I'm sure this is a very simple tech issue but can anyone help me out? The other answers I've found don't seem to apply to me!
