Change sound of an instrument on one staff automatically
Is it possible to change the sound of an instrument from for example, palm muted guitar to clean guitar and back again on one staff or must I add another staff to the score to accomplish this? I am using Musescore 3

which explains how to access the instrument's "channel tracks" by clicking the arrow button on top of the track control.
So, for clean guitar you can access harmonics, distortion, mute, etc.
