Since returning to Musescore from a few years with Sibelius, I have found myself greatly missing the "fit to page" and "fit to system" layout features, so this feature request is to implement something similar for MuseScore.

Fit to page:
To use this, I would select X number of systems, choose the layout option "fit to page", and the page scaling and spacing would be adjusted to force the system to the page I want them on within the existing margin restrictions.

Fit to system:
To use this, I would select X number of measures, choose the layout option "fit to system", and then stretching and note placement would be adjusted to force the measures to the system I want them in. Sometimes it wouldn't fit anyway and I would have to go to the page settings and decrease margins or scale, or change from portrait to landscape but it was overall very useful for the adjustments I needed to make. (Pipe band music is very "systematic" (haha) in it's use of 4 bars per system with few exceptions).

3 years later, I second this. We got “Group measures” to do what you called “Fit to System” with the power to deface sheet music beyond any recognition; why shouldn't we also get “Group systems” with the power to do the same? My point being: It doesn't matter if it could make the sheet music look horrible; there already are many other ways to accomplish that, and it's up to the engraver to decide what looks good and what doesn't anymore.
Appended is an example for where I'd like to be able to use such a function.
