Plugin for Transcribing Functional Melody?

I'm looking for a way to write abstract melodies in functional style. That is, I want to write out my melodies as functional numbers relative to some root note. For example, in the key of C, "Mary Had a Little Lamb" would start:

E, D, C, D, E E E...

But I want to write this instead:

3, 2, 1, 2, 3 3 3...

So that the melody is abstracted from any key. Just the way someone writing a real book might write the harmony. They could write Dm7, G7, CM7, or they could write 2m7, 57, 1M7.

Writing melodies this way, a traditional staff is pretty much nonsense. You could still use the staff as a visual indicator of the size of intervals, and you could still use traditional shapes to describe rhythm.

I could just write melodies out in the key of C, so that accidentals are easy to read, but it'd be cool to have the actual numerical values written in the score. Maybe I could just add them as "lyrics"?
