Guitar midi input string assigment based on channel...

Hi there - I'm inputting through a guitar midi device, and am having trouble getting MuseScore to assign notes to the actually played string. With only a single midi channel, this is obviously not an easy thing to do, however, many guitar midi devices assign a distinct midi channel for each string (ie - ch 1 for high E, and ch 6 for low E, etc).

Is there a way for MuseScore to use the input channel to assign string selection on midi input? (This is a feature of Guitar Pro).

I think this would be a very, very useful feature for a lot of people.
