Disappearance of certain fonts in 3.6

• Jun 7, 2021 - 04:33

Hello all,

I recently updated to 3.6. Upon opening many of my older scores, I found that many of the fonts that I used were no longer there. The text's font was replaced by a different font (often FreeSerif) , which has changed the look of many of my scores. For example the font "Lucida Handwriting", a font I often use on cover pages for my music, has disappeared. This cannot be fixed by reverting back to an earlier version of Musescore, such as 3.5. The fonts can't be found there either. Are these fonts just gone, or is there something I have missed? Thanks for your help!

P.S. About the PDFs I have attached - I know that the cover page of the two files are a bit different from each other. I have edited the "after" file recently to make a better looking page. Also, I have gone through and picked better fonts, so these are not the default fonts that Musescore chooses upon opening an old score in the new 3.6 style (or just reopening in the old style). The main thing that should be paid attention to is the change in font in the title of the piece (Resolve), and the subtitle (for C flute and alto flute). If these documents are not clear enough, I will do my best to provide better ones.

This font does not come from MuseScore, but from your local pc; so check whether it is still installed there.
