Playback is lagging and distorted (Windows 11)

I'm not sure what it is or if it's just me, but on my new laptop with Windows 11, Musescore doesn't playback the score correctly. It sounds like it's clipping and in slow motion. The master gain is always set to -40. I don't know if it's just my laptop but it's stopped my from editing scores for weeks now. My other laptop with Windows 7 doesn't have this problem.
